• The Indian Army, under the aegis of the Trishakti Corps, has established a 10 kW solar power plant in Muguthang village, located near the India–China border in North Sikkim at an altitude of approximately 15,000 feet.
• The project was implemented under the Government of India’s Vibrant Villages Programme to provide reliable, year-round electricity to this remote and high-altitude settlement.
• ਭਾਰਤੀ ਫੌਜ, ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਕੋਰ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ, ਉੱਤਰੀ ਸਿੱਕਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤ-ਚੀਨ ਸਰਹੱਦ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਲਗਭਗ 15,000 ਫੁੱਟ ਦੀ ਉਚਾਈ 'ਤੇ ਸਥਿਤ ਮੁਗੁਥਾਂਗ ਪਿੰਡ ਵਿੱਚ 10 ਕਿਲੋਵਾਟ ਦਾ ਸੂਰਜੀ ਊਰਜਾ ਪਲਾਂਟ ਸਥਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
• ਇਸ ਦੂਰ-ਦੁਰਾਡੇ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਚ-ਉਚਾਈ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਸਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਭਰੋਸੇਯੋਗ, ਸਾਲ ਭਰ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਵਾਈਬ੍ਰੈਂਟ ਵਿਲੇਜ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਅਧੀਨ ਲਾਗੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
