ACC approved the extension of tenure of General Anil Chauhan as Chief of Defence Staff till May 2026 / ਏਸੀਸੀ ਨੇ ਚੀਫ ਆਵ੍ ਡਿਫੈਂਸ ਸਟਾਫ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਨਰਲ ਅਨਿਲ ਚੌਹਾਨ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਜਕਾਲ ਮਈ 2026 ਤੱਕ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ
- Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved the extension of General Anil Chauhan's tenure as Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) until May 30, 2026.
- General Chauhan will continue to serve as both the CDS and the Secretary to the Government of India in the Department of Military Affairs.
- ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮੰਡਲ ਦੀ ਨਿਯੁਕਤੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ (ਏ.ਸੀ.ਸੀ.) ਨੇ ਜਨਰਲ ਅਨਿਲ ਚੌਹਾਨ ਦਾ ਚੀਫ ਆਫ਼ ਡਿਫੈਂਸ ਸਟਾਫ (ਸੀ.ਡੀ.ਐਸ.) ਵਜੋਂ ਕਾਰਜਕਾਲ 30 ਮਈ, 2026 ਤੱਕ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।
- ਜਨਰਲ ਚੌਹਾਨ ਮਿਲਟਰੀ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀਡੀਐੱਸ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਸੇਵਾ ਨਿਭਾਉਂਦੇ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ।
