The Union government extended the tenure of Attorney General for India R. Venkataramani for two more years.
The government has also made new appointments to its law officer team.
His term has been extended for another two years, starting on October 1, 2025. This allows him to continue as the top law officer until September 30, 2027.
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta: His tenure was previously extended for three more years, effective from July 1, 2023, keeping him in the post until June 30, 2026.
