UGC makes registration on new Study in India portal mandatory for all foreign students / ਯੂਜੀਸੀ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਨਵੇਂ ਸਟੱਡੀ ਇਨ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਪੋਰਟਲ 'ਤੇ ਰਜਿਸਟ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਲਾਜ਼ਮੀ ਕੀਤੀ
- The UGC recently mandated that all foreign nationals studying in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and universities in the country have to register themselves in a new Study In India (SII) portal.
- It is a flagship project of the Ministry of Education.
- Upon registration, the portal generates a unique ID or ‘SII-ID’, which must be quoted on the student visa application.
- ਯੂਜੀਸੀ ਨੇ ਹਾਲ ਹੀ 'ਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀਆਂ ਉੱਚ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀਆਂ 'ਚ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਰਹੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਵੇਂ ਸਟੱਡੀ ਇਨ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਪੋਰਟਲ 'ਚ ਰਜਿਸਟਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
- ਇਹ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਮੰਤਰਾਲੇ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ ਹੈ।
- ਰਜਿਸਟ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ 'ਤੇ, ਪੋਰਟਲ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਲੱਖਣ ਆਈਡੀ ਜਾਂ 'ਐੱਸਆਈਆਈ-ਆਈਡੀ' ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਵੀਜ਼ਾ ਅਰਜ਼ੀ 'ਤੇ ਹਵਾਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
